Shout out to AVA

DPR 3Some great news for those of you following us in the Bay area,DPR 3 we got picked up by a great restaurant run by some very down to earth people.   The restaurant is called AVA and is located in San Anselmo, Ca.

In 2007, Marin Magazine had a great write up Dan & Holly Baker, the chef owners of AVA entitled AVA - Fresh California cuisine triumphs in San Anselmo.  It's a great read and AVA is a great place to enjoy a nice meal that you know supports the local economy.

You can find out more about AVA from their website, but in case you don't want to follow a link here's the scoop. "AVA is the abbreviation for American Viticultural Area, or an American grape-growing region. Like the AOCs of France and DOCs of Italy, the AVA gives clues to a wine's quality, flavor profile, and terroir. Come experience many of California's 95 AVAs on our California-only wine list featuring only family-owned wineries. Enjoy the "California" cuisine of Executive Chef Dan Baker, where nearly all ingredients come from California. All meats and fish are sustainably raised and caught, and much of the produce is purchased directly from local farmers at the Marin County Farmers' Market. In addition to sourcing the highest quality ingredients we are curing salumi, rolling pasta, smoking bacon, and making all breads and ice creams."    www.avamarin.com

Dan & Holly Baker also have a sister restaurant in Ross, Ca called Marche Aux Fleurs which is French Provencal and easily one of our favorite restaurants in Marin.   Erica and I have enjoyed dining at both AVA and Marche Aux Fleurs on several occasions and when we first started laying out the plans to make our wine, I knew that I wanted to make a wine that would fit into this caliber of restaurant.   We are honored that AVA will be serving our wine.

Cheers,

-dave

P.S.  For those inquirying; we are due to give birth to two healthy girls next Tuesday (5/5)
